Importation and Supply Chain Officer
Location: Camberley
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000
My client, based in Camberley, is looking for an Imports and Supply Chain Officer to join their team. We are seeking candidates with experience in forecasting, supply chain, stock control, and raising purchase orders. The hours of work are 7 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday. You should be hardworking, have a keen eye for detail, and be detail-oriented.
Daily Duties
1. Help build and implement a robust, efficient flow of products through the Company's purchase ordering and forecasting system.
2. Coordinate with the purchasing ordering team to better manage stock levels and flatten out peaks and troughs in stock availability.
3. Control the end-to-end purchase order processing, communications, and facilitate order shipments, working alongside our inventory management system to ensure optimum stock levels.
4. Conduct inventory analysis and classification.
5. Manage supply chain risk.
6. Analyze and recommend purchase orders.
7. Perform historical sales performance analysis and reporting.
8. Forecast demand based on seasonality, sales projections, promotions, etc.
9. Communicate with overseas suppliers.
10. Process end-to-end purchase orders, including communicating price changes, promotions, delays, and other correspondences throughout the company.
11. Place purchase orders and receive stock in on Sage 200.
12. Manage accounts and databases.
13. Handle clerical and documentation management.
14. Negotiate and organize multi-modal freight shipments.
Essential Qualifications
1. Deep knowledge and understanding of inventory analytics.
2. Previous experience in inventory management.
3. Superb attention to detail, demonstrated by the ability to highlight areas of stock management enhancements, bring significant efficiencies to stock availability, and reduce stock wastage.
