Location: London/Shoreditch/ Based at a fixed Initial Accommodation site (Some travel may be required based on business need)

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week - working a shift pattern including some nights and weekends based on a 6-week shift pattern.
Salary: £31,475.00 per annum
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Initial Accommodation Officer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to Service Users residing in our initial accommodation facilities. This role requires a proactive and empathetic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Service User Support:
Manage a caseload of Service Users, providing guidance and support.
Conduct regular welfare checks and address any concerns promptly.
Signpost Service Users to essential services (GPs, shops, support agencies).
Ensure the safety and well-being of all Service Users and staff.
Address safeguarding issues in accordance with company policy.Accommodation Management:
Conduct regular inspections of accommodation and report any maintenance issues.
Ensure property standards are maintained and comply with health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory and ensure the upkeep of accommodation facilities.Operational Excellence:
Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and statutory regulations.
Participate in service improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities.
Liaise effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external agencies.Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain positive relationships with Service Users, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Attend relevant meetings and represent the company professionally.Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience of working with vulnerable adults or in a customer service environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work flexibly, including some evening and weekend shifts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience working in a residential setting.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
