Job summary We have a great opportunity for an experienced registered mental health nurse to utilise your experience and skills in managing the well-established Clozapine and Depot clinic with the Greenwich ICMP team. You will be a part of a very diverse and dynamic team working collaboratively to deliver and assist in the delivery of a range of therapies within the Greenwich ICMP service which specialises in supporting patients within the psychosis pathway. You will have the opportunity while delivering care to develop skills in implementing and managing clinical engagement and contribute to an efficient service using an established appointment booking systems to ensure prioritization based on needs. You will be able to implement core nursing skills of assessment, planning and evaluation of care while practicing in accordance with agreed clozapine guidance. Part of the role entails, ordering of medications, emailing the care coordinators and doctors of any changes in the blood results and follow up, request medic assistance where required. You will have the opportunity to improve patient physical health through physical observation monitoring, including cardiac and other physical health system functions. You will work closely with the team consultant psychiatrist who is responsible for prescribing clozapine. Other services of key interest are the pharmacy services and ZTAS monitoring service, therefore good communication skills are essential for this role.
