It is a day's only role (Monday-Friday). Holidays: 25 days. Location: Loughborough U.K. How will you make an impact To ensure the safe and efficient running of the Inbound logistics department, whilst driving Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) through the Value Stream. What is required: - Maintaining high Quality & Safety standards in Inbound logistics. - Supervising and coaching the team to ensure process compliance (offloading, booking, put-away, picking). - Planning and allocating department resources daily to complete shipments, production schedules, and tanker deliveries. - Ensuring forklifts are used safely and maintained, raising maintenance tickets as needed. - Supporting Tier I & II meetings when the manager is unavailable. - Recording and sharing department metrics, driving first-time accuracy, and reviewing processes to prevent errors. - Acting as the first point of contact for inbound logistics queries and collaborating efficiently with other departments. - Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and reporting procedures, including audits, incident reporting, and corrective actions. - Developing and implementing training plans to ensure staff competence and flexibility. - Leading and motivating the Inbound Logistics Team, using visual management for progress tracking and communication. - Driving 5S standards and implementing cost-saving initiatives through Practical Process Improvements (PPI). - Achieving site targets for stock accuracy with raw materials and packaging.
