Job Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer
Location: Cowes. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements available.
Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on skills and experience
Responsibilities:
• Conduct peer reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Identify and resolve product lifecycle issues, maintain compliance.
• Establish and manage qualification requirements, ensure Safety Case integrity.
• Serve as subject matter expert, coach and mentor team members.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimise thermal design of radar components.
• Develop and validate thermal models to predict performance.
Requirements:
• Master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Expertise in heat transfer principles, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
• Proven experience in designing and testing thermal systems.
• Skilled in coaching, mentoring and leading engineering teams.
