An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced and proactive Quality Systems Manager to drive quality excellence within a leading food manufacturing business.
This pivotal role ensures adherence to quality, food safety, and compliance standards, while driving improvements across site operations.
The Quality Systems Manager will take ownership of the Quality Management System, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure compliance with food industry regulations, customer expectations, and third-party standards.
A key aspect of this role is identifying technical challenges, implementing solutions, and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage the Quality & Food Safety Management Systems, ensuring all compliance, safety, and quality requirements are met.
* Implement effective systems for hygiene, allergen management, pest control, and foreign body controls.
* Conduct thorough internal audits to maintain the highest factory standards.
* BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH CUSTOMERS, SUPPLIERS, AND INTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS, PROVIDING CLEAR COMMUNICATION ON ALL TECHNICAL MATTERS.
* Deputise when required for the Technical Manager.
* Evaluate the site's HACCP system, assessing risks and establishing controls for new products, processes, and raw materials.
* Champion a culture of Quality Assurance, offering practical support and guidance to all departments.
* Maintain technical schedules, prepare detailed reports, and track discrepancies.
This role requires experience in the food/drinks industry, retailer standards and codes of practices, BRC requirements, leading audits and maintaining compliance with customer and third-party standards.
