Role Overview
This is a 3-day per week (0.6 WTE) role initially offered on a 12-month, fixed-term contract basis.
The Communications Manager will collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Charity’s Lead, and Fundraising Manager to promote new partnerships, increase funding, develop the charity’s profile, build awareness, and deliver key fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on the charity’s communications and engagement planning, coordinating activities including website, press, and social media.
* Develop and implement an annual communications strategy aligned with the charity’s objectives.
* Support engagement plans to attract and develop relations with individuals and corporate donors, raising awareness and identifying collaboration opportunities.
* Deliver campaigns for fundraising initiatives using best practice methodologies.
* Identify stories for media pitching, draft press releases, briefings, and statements for media and stakeholders.
* Create multimedia content for various channels.
Candidate Requirements
Ideally CIPR/IOIC qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ senior/management experience in marketing/communications, preferably with charity communication experience. High standards of written and spoken English are essential. Digital communications experience is also required.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role, with work from our Bracknell Head Office or other Berkshire sites at least once a week.
