Our clients practice based in Brighton are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. Day to day you will either be working alongside their experienced surgeon performing routine operations or running Practice Nurse clinics with a well-established client base.
There is a wonderful ethos at the clinic, creating a safe and open culture for all the team. Across all sites, in total, there are 17 Vets and 28 Nurses, including their students. There is a team of VCAs and a Support Team which amounts to approximately another 30 staff members. There are several Certificate Holders with certificates in Medicine, Cardiology, Surgery, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, and Diagnostic Imaging. The teams are made up of a group of encouraging, supportive, and exceptionally knowledgeable individuals who are hoping to offer the opportunity for further development to all who join them.
The client is a large group comprising of a main hospital in Worthing and 6 satellite branches around the local area, dealing with both 1st Opinions and Referrals. The services include diagnostic imaging with on-site CT, orthopaedics, cardiology, soft tissue, and internal medicine. The hospital is well equipped with a dedicated Dental Suite, Endoscopic and Laparoscopic equipment as well as an on-site laboratory.
The busy Brighton branch is equipped with a dental room, operating theatre, laparoscopic equipment, digital x-ray, in-house lab, and numerous consultation rooms. There is also a large reception area and cat and dog wards for keeping the patients comfortable.

The Brighton branch is situated in the popular Preston Park area with good transport links. Preston Park is Brighton & Hove's first and largest public park. With 63 acres of parkland, this well-loved open space plays a huge role in the life of the city, offering a variety of sports and activities and hosting many major outdoor events.
They pride themselves in full nurse utilisation, meaning the successful candidates will feel they have a voice and contribute to maintaining a high level of clinical care. These are great opportunities for individuals who enjoy providing gold-level service to both animals and their owners, both with practice nurse clinics and whilst working clinically. The ideal candidates will be self-motivated and forward-thinking with a keen interest in introducing new initiatives and ways of working into practice. Being a Clinical Coach would be desirable to be able to support the SVN; training can be provided if necessary.
Working up to 40 hours per week across 5 days with 1:10 Saturdays (9:00am-12:30pm); however, the client can be flexible and can consider part-time hours and flexible working. There is no OOH work.
Up to £31,000 negotiable DOE.
