Job summary The Specialty Doctor in Acute Medicine is a registrar-level post (ST3), designed to provide comprehensive training in acute medicine complemented by rotations in key areas of the specialty. This role aims to support achieving relevant competencies in acute and general medicine. Assessment and Diagnosis Assess, diagnose, and treat patients requiring same-day discharge in SDEC. Medical Procedures Perform procedures such as inserting chest drain, lumbar punctures and ascetic drains, etc. Coordination of Care Ensure seamless coordination with other specialties and departments. Complex Case Management Manage complex cases and participate in diagnostic procedures and treatments. Collaboration Work with primary care and community services for seamless transitions.
