Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Location: Werneth, OL8 Start Date: September, 2024 Working Hours: 8.30 – 15.30 Organization: GSL Education Job Description: GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a school in Werneth, OL8. This role is vital in supporting students who require additional help in managing their behaviour and achieving their full potential within the school environment. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with students who exhibit challenging behaviour to support their social and emotional development Develop and implement individualized behaviour support plans Provide one-on-one and small group interventions to address behavioural issues Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a consistent approach to behaviour management Monitor and record students' progress, providing regular feedback to staff and parents Foster a positive and inclusive school environment that encourages positive behaviour Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a conducive learning environment Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities Uphold and follow the policies of the school Requirements: Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behaviour al challenges Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, counselling or a related field are desirable but not essential If you meet the requirements listed above for the Behaviour Mentor role in Werneth, OL8 we would love to hear from you.
