Our client is a leading law firm with a number of offices across the Devon area. On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Conveyancing Paralegal to join their Exmouth office on a full-time, permanent basis.
For the role, you will be confident managing a busy workload and must be able to use your own initiative and work well under pressure. You will also support members of the Residential Conveyancing Department, who may themselves work in a different office (remotely).
The successful candidate will need to be able to:
1. Assist in the progression of a conveyancing transaction to include:
* Preparation of draft Contract Papers
* Dealing with sale enquiries
* Ordering searches
* Exchanges and completions to include drafting completion statements, preparing SDLT Forms, Land Registry searches
* Post completion matters
1. Deal with telephone calls in a confident manner providing clear, accurate and up-to-date information
2. Produce documents using the firm’s case management software
3. Demonstrate good administrative skills with good attention to detail
4. Demonstrate good organisation skills
5. Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and spoken
6. Cope well under pressure, with an ability to work flexibly and cope with changing priorities
7. Take a positive and proactive approach to work, anticipating and meeting the needs of the department
8. Be receptive to receiving and acting on instructions given by immediate supervisor
9. Be competent in using Word and other Microsoft Products (Outlook and PowerPoint)
