Part time and full time applications are invited from Sonographers who are caring, enthusiastic and self-motivated. We would welcome candidates with a wide range of ultrasound competencies; however we would also consider applications from Sonographers with experience in only one clinical area as well as trainee Sonographers with a pending PG Certificate/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
We are looking for Sonographers who would be interested in bringing their ambition, commitment, knowledge, experience and skills to the Trust.
Main duties of the job
You must have a CASE accredited PG Certificate/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent (DMU). A current professional registration is desirable but not essential.
Applicants with a pending CASE accredited PG Cert/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound are also welcome to apply for this post.
You will have evidence of on-going CPD and learning related to your areas of ultrasound practice.
You will be expected to participate in the Ultrasound extended day and weekend working.

Analytical & judgemental skill
* Evidence of ability to assess patients condition to achieve optimum examination results
* Evidence of ability to use skills and judgement to produce a diagnostic ultrasound report
* Evidence of problem solving skills
* Evidence of ability to interpret clinical information to ensure correct technique
Planning & organisation
* Evidence of planning own workload
* Evidence of departmental organisation
Physical skills
* Evidence of Basic keyboard/IT skills
* Evidence of manipulation of U/S equipment and patients to achieve best results
* Evidence of good physical and mental wellbeing - ability to run scan lists independently
Qualification
* Current/Pending completion: UK CASE accredited PG Cert/Diploma/MSc in Ultrasound: to include core ultrasound modules (General Medical & Obs/Gynae)
* Demonstrable Ultrasound scanning experience within an NHS Trust (pre or post qualification)
* Evidence of short courses: including ElfH compliance.
* Demonstrable post registration practice to broaden knowledge and experience
* Current UK Professional Registration (e.g. HCPC, NMC, RCT)
* Evidence of communication within a multidisciplinary team
* Evidence of empathy and understanding to patients/carers
