Overview of role
Location: Liverpool
We are looking for a Hygiene Operative to join the Liverpool Hotplate team on a shift rotation of 4 on 4 off (days and nights). Duties will include ensuring that the cleaning of our plant, equipment, and site is carried out to the highest of standards in accordance with Company requirements and procedures. The successful candidate will have an understanding of food hygiene and previous hygiene experience within a manufacturing environment.

This is 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights), site-based role. Salary: £29,724.24pa.
Key Accountabilities
This is a physically demanding role and requires the individual to have the capability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks. The successful candidate must be confident to follow rigorous procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness across the site. You must also work with the wider Hygiene team, reporting directly to the Hygiene Co-Ordinator & Manager, who will ensure you receive training to provide the skills and understanding to succeed in this role. Other duties include:
• Ensuring that daily schedules are adhered to and that assigned areas meet the required standards.
• Acting as part of a team in assisting in meeting departmental Key Performance Indicators.
• Following instruction, training and guidelines set out by the Hygiene department.
• Identifying areas that have potential associated risks to food safety and raising actions accordingly.
• Reporting of defects or potential hazards to the Hygiene Coordinator.
• Assisting in the safe removal of bakery waste.
• Cleaning and litter picking of the site perimeter and monitoring of pest control.
• Replenishing and cleaning of site facilities.
The Right Person
• Proven experience within a similar environment, preferably within food manufacturing. • A recognised Food Hygiene qualification. • Pest Control and Chemical Safety awareness are desirable. • Computer literate; fully conversant with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. • IOSH Managing Safely would be advantageous.
