Job Title: Audit and Quality Assurance Officer (Children's Social Care) Location: Liverpool Rate: £45 per hour Contract: Initial 3-month placement On-site Requirement: Minimum 2 days per week About the Role Liverpool Children’s Services is on a journey of transformation, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, relationship-based social work that improves outcomes for children, young people, and families. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Social Worker to join our team as an Audit and Quality Assurance Officer. This role plays a key part in our Quality Assurance function, supporting the development of excellent social work practice across the service. You will not have line management responsibilities, but you will need to demonstrate initiative, autonomy, and a collaborative approach in working across teams. Key Responsibilities: Conducting collaborative audits and facilitating live auditing sessions Coaching and mentoring practitioners to support reflective practice Producing high-quality audit reports and action plans Delivering focused learning sessions and contributing to the Care, Inspire, Thrive – Children’s Workforce Academy Supporting the embedding of systemic, relational, and restorative practice approaches We are especially keen to hear from practitioners with experience in the Family Safeguarding Model, as Liverpool is currently adopting this approach. What We’re Looking For: A qualified and registered Social Worker Experience in a QA or Practice Improvement role within statutory Children’s Social Care Strong understanding of what constitutes excellent social work practice A passion for continuous improvement and learning Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Interested?
