OneMedical Group are looking for dedicated practice nurse to bring their knowledge and enthusiasm to our forward-thinking primary care services. Since 1st of September 2023 we have delivered care services to patients and communities across 3 sites in Milton Keynes: Brooklands, Whitehouse and Neath Hill surgeries. The practice nurse will play an important role in the future of the service and will be part of a wider team, who can be agile, innovative, and future focused. Main responsibilities include: Venepuncture. Blood pressure. ECGs. Height/weight/BMI. Health promotion. Childhood and adult immunisations. Wound care. Contraception. Cervical screening. Spirometry. Long-term condition management such as diabetes, COPD, asthma. About the Candidate The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with a variety of long-term health conditions, demonstrate adaptability to change, and be confident working autonomously. They should be eager to work within non-traditional care systems and committed to continuous learning and skill development. A willingness to undertake role-relevant training and support the wider nursing team is essential. You will bring a passion for empowering patients to live healthier lives, using your expertise in health prevention, screening, and the early management of long-term conditions. You will have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Registered with the NMC. A degree in nursing. Substantial practice nurse experience. Evidence of ongoing CPD. A long term condition diploma. Have knowledge of patients with long term conditions. Be familiar with Patient Group Directions (PGD’s) and associated policy. Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.
