With over 40 years' experience, this market-leading Civil Engineering and Groundworks company are subcontractors to both Tier 1 main contractors and regional housebuilders. With a turnover of £30 million they are financially stable and growing organically. Projects include 278 works, commercial groundworks, roads, sewers and earthworks.
Responsibilities:
1. Produce accurate quotations from drawings and submit tender returns
2. Prepare rates for each item within the BOQ from first principles, technical knowledge and experience
3. Produce tender report
4. Attend pre & post contract reviews and client meetings
5. Measuring & 'Taking-Off' quantities from drawings
6. Sourcing pre-project information and supporting supplier / sub-contractor quotations, agreements & enquiries
Experience Required:
1. Must have previous experience in estimating with a groundworks sub contractor or major civil engineering contractor
2. Experience in the conversion of tenders for projects up to £10m+
3. The ability to communicate effectively and work on your own initiative
4. Decisive and reliable with excellent attention to detail
