Role Description:
They are currently seeking a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their Roads & Sewers Civils department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in the design of roads and sewers for residential projects. You will collaborate closely with other civil engineers and the directors to enhance your career.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design roads and sewers for residential projects.
2. Collaborate with a team of four existing civil engineers.
3. Utilize software tools such as PDS, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD for design work.
4. Ensure projects meet client deadlines and stay within budget.
Civil Engineer Requirements:
1. Be fully competent with AutoCAD, PDS, and Microdrainage software packages.
2. Be able to work on projects during all stages of design (from appraisals through to adoptions and construction).
3. Understand sewers for adoption 6th and 7th Edition, DCG standards, SABS requirements, and specific requirements of individual water and sewerage undertakers (mainly United Utilities and Welsh Water).
4. Understand LA highway requirements for road adoptions and Section 278 works.
5. Be able to produce Flood Risk Assessments and SUDS reports would also be useful but not essential.
6. Can manage workload to meet required deadlines.
7. Knowledge of other general office software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel would also be useful.
8. Site/client visits are necessary, so a full driving license is essential.
9. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
10. Ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets effectively.
