Great new permanent job opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist in the Milton Keynes Area. Established growing business looking to recruit and aplished Accounts Payable professional supervising the processing team.
Your new role
The main duties of the role is to manage the Accounts Payable function of the business and ensure the smooth running of the department. This is a hands on role main duties will include but not limited to the following areas.
1. Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including personnel.
2. Report into Senior Accountants and when required attend Senior Management Team Meetings.
3. Provide support and assistance to internal and external parties on financial and accounts matters.
4. Maintain database with supplier information.
5. Maintain and monitor client purchase ledgers.
6. Arrange regular payment runs across multiple bank accounts.
7. Monitor client bank accounts and input all daily transactions onto database, reporting any discrepancies.
8. Enter interest payments onto accounting software.
9. Reconcile bank accounts as required.
10. Reconcile suspense balances as required.
11. Handle queries or requests from suppliers and surveyors in a timely and professional manner.
12. Supervise 2 transactional staff within the team
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate for the position will have extensive experience in Accounts Payable, good level of systems and excellent attention to detail and accuracy required. Good written and verbalmunication skills and able to supervise two team members.
