This position is part-time, working 3 days per week for a fixed term duration of 6 months. At Novus we work with passion, care and commitment to create the foundations for change. What the role entails As the catering trainer at HMP Feltham, you will play a crucial role in helping our learners develop essential skills that will serve them throughout their lives and possible employment opportunities upon release. You will be responsible for effectively managing, and assessing learners while they work in the HMP Feltham prison kitchen/ staff restaurant. You will be required to work alongside prison-employed staff and fit in with the prison regime. Therefore, the ability to use your initiative, be self-motivated, flexible and work effectively as part a team is essential for this role. Responsibilities Responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of learners to achieve their catering qualifications. Ensure full compliance with food safety, health and safety and protocols e.g. GDPR, enrolment and attendance. Accountable for quality assurance and quality improvement across the qualification. Ensure full compliance to prison systems, processes and protocol.To be successful in the role Trainer, you will need to meet the following essential criteria: Catering industry experience and qualification. Experience in teaching/training in the hospitality sector.
