Social Worker Child in Need / Child Protection Location: Halton, UK Pay Rate: Up to £45.34 per hour Contract Type: Temporary / Contract Hours: Full-time About the Role: Myn is recruiting for our trusted partner in Halton, seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Child in Need / Child Protection Team. In this vital role, youll be at the forefront of safeguarding children and supporting families in need. Your work will ensure the safety, development, and well-being of vulnerable children while working collaboratively within a multi-agency framework. Key Responsibilities: Manage a diverse caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases. Conduct timely assessments and create clear, evidence-based plans to support children and families. Undertake child protection investigations and participate in Child Protection Conferences. Work closely with children, families, and multi-agency partners to deliver effective and impactful interventions. Prepare and present comprehensive reports for court proceedings when required. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files in line with statutory requirements. Ensure timely and appropriate actions to safeguard children and promote their welfare. What Were Looking For: Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Social Work or an equivalent recognised qualification. Registered with Social Work England (SWE). Experience: Demonstrable experience working within Child in Need or Child Protection teams. A solid background in child safeguarding and multi-agency collaboration. Skills and Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professional partners. Proven ability to manage a challenging caseload and make sound professional decisions under pressure. Strong case recording and report writing skills for professional and legal purposes.
