Position: Youth Development Assistant – FIXED TERM CONTRACT
Location: Take a Bow Development Trust, Kilmarnock, KA3 7PH (Currently operating from decant venues in Kilmarnock due to centre refurbishment)
Rate of pay: £15,080 per annum
Hours: 25 hours (Evening and weekend work will be required)
Annual Leave: 5 weeks (inclusive of all public holidays)
Contract Period: Fixed term
Our Youth Development Assistants support the delivery of Take A Bow’s youth engagement programmes. They work closely with our Youth Development Coordinator to support and deliver the day-to-day activity of our youth services. They will be able to build trusting relationships with young people while supporting them to develop their skills, knowledge, and confidence to achieve their goals. They will have excellent people and relationship building skills, be well organised, and able to work well in a team. With a 'can-do' attitude, they will take the initiative and be creative in problem solving.
The Youth Development Assistant’s will be responsible for supporting the development of the Trust’s vision. As part of the whole team, helping lead Take A Bow Development Trust into the next phase of its development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partnerships: Collaborate with local community groups, participants, staff team, and volunteers to support the organisation's vision and achieve its purpose.
2. Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication links with local young people in the community.
3. Project Development and Delivery: Support young people to develop their skills and confidence, ensuring high-quality delivery of sessions.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation: Comply with safeguarding policies and record data on young people, volunteers, and partners.
