In this role, you’ll act with rigour and professionalism to lead our Procurement function for CRUK, and y ou’ll be central to ensuring that the Charity achieves best value from its buying activities while delivering its broader business goals. Setting high standards for the team - establishing clear goals and performance metrics and providing guidance, feedback and evaluations Developing and implementing comprehensive procurement strategies that align with CRUK’s objectives and goals. Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers – ensuring cooperative relationships are developed with fully compliant partners, negotiating contracts and establishing strong relationships with key vendors. Monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, legal requirements and quality standards. Develop and oversee budgets for the procurement department. Oversee the implementation and management of procurement systems and technologies to enhance efficiency and transparency. What are you looking for ? An inspiring, confident and empowering leader who can provide visible, strong leadership that can motivate, engage and get the best out of people, including through a significant programme of change. Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations. Strategic thinking with the ability to align procurement strategies with business objectives. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Evidence of building credibility and relationships at a senior/board level to provide strategic procurement advice based on professional expertise. Experience of setting a team direction (functional leadership) – ensuring team strategy, capability and collaboration develop at required rate.
