Role Overview: As a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in our childrens home, you will provide personal care and support to children with a range of needs, including emotional, developmental, and physical support. Your role will involve supporting day-to-day activities, assisting with personal care, and promoting positive relationships. You will work closely with other team members to create a safe, caring, and supportive environment where children can thrive. Key Responsibilities: Assist with personal care routines, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring the dignity and comfort of each child. Support children in daily activities, including meal times, schoolwork, recreational activities, and life skills development. Build positive relationships with the children in your care, offering emotional support and encouragement. Assist with behaviour management and follow care plans to support the emotional and developmental needs of each child. Ensure a safe and nurturing environment by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards. Encourage independence and provide appropriate support to help children reach their full potential. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to provide holistic care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individual care plans.
