Job summary
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking nurse to support the Unit Manager to lead and coordinate qualified and non-qualified nursing staff clinical education, development, induction and orientation in our Urology Ward.
Working alongside the ward manager and the wider education Trust team you will rely on your clinical expertise, organisational skills and professional management to educate and support the urology team in this busy surgical ward.
You must have a minimum of 3 years urology experience at a senior level with at least two years' experience in a ward setting. Renal knowledge and experience are desirable.
The position is Monday to Friday but available as a job share. The position is not suitable to candidates seeking weekend or night working hours.
Main duties of the job
The clinical practice educator will work collaboratively with ward managers and senior management within the division to deliver effective, high quality, safe patient-centered care. The post holder will lead the continuing education, training and professional development for the nursing staff to promote the acquisition of new skills and knowledge and maintain high standards of patient-centered care delivery. The post holder will develop and drive forward an education programme to ensure that nursing staff acquire the professional standards and competencies when caring for people.
