As a leading law firm in Northern Ireland, the foundations of our success are rooted in our talent strategy. We are recruiting a Talent Manager to lead the Talent function for our Belfast office.
In this role, you will operate as a senior leader in our firm and will drive the talent strategy for the success of our business and our clients. You will report to the Belfast Head of Office and the Talent Director, based in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Belfast partnership and Talent Director (Dublin) to shape the Talent Strategy aligning to the objectives of the firm.
* Represent the firm at a strategic level professionally, internally, presenting to the partnership, external stakeholders and in raising the profile of the firm as a people business.
* Drive our recruitment strategy, through early careers recruitment to key lateral hires to deliver on firm strategy and growth.
* Champion the diversity, equality and inclusion values and practices within the firm.
* Manage key external partnerships, identifying key external opportunities which align to the firm's overall strategy.
* Proactively lead reward strategies, collating external benchmarking and providing recommendations to partnership.
* Conduct research and analysis of key employee data, via surveys, focus groups and external market trends for consideration and shaping retention and attraction strategies.
* Keep Partnership aware of knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
* Work collaboratively with talent development in ensuring the professional development of all individuals ensuring progression for all.
* Give counsel and oversee employee relations issues should they arise with professionalism.
* Champion a high performance culture and making recommendations for improvements.
* Lead on special projects and communicate and direct on strategy and implementation.
* Manage the Talent function in Belfast ensuring administration excellence and compliance.
Requirements
* CIPD qualified
* Proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally within a legal or professional services environment.
* Broad knowledge of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, pay and reward and compliance.
* Strong knowledge of NI employment laws and regulations.
* Evidenced experience of building strong collaborative relationships with multiple parties internally and externally.
* Demonstrable evidence of how you have shaped HR strategy for the success of business.
* Effective leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with a skill in recognising importance of timing and method of communication dependent on situation.
