General Manager | Pavilion on The Park, Eastleigh | Full Time | £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Our client is looking for an experienced General Manager to manage the delivery of its charitable services and community hub at the Pavilion on The Park. If you’re an experienced leader with a passion for working in a not-for-profit environment, they want you to join their team!
As General Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the Pavilion, overseeing a range of community services, including the café, sensory facility, Cycles4All project, and sports activities. You will work closely with a diverse team of employees, volunteers, and trustees, and drive funding and support for both new and existing services.

* Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including trustees, employees, volunteers, donors, and customers
* Experience in managing a community hub or charitable services
* Strong financial management skills, including managing budgets and third-party suppliers
* Ability to oversee a range of services, such as community café, sensory facility, sports activities, and various projects
* Knowledge of preparing grant funding bids and ensuring funds are allocated accordingly
* Excellent people management skills with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
* Self-starter with the ability to push boundaries and find better ways of achieving the Trust’s charitable objectives
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a wide-ranging role
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills
* Willingness to pitch in with the team when needed
* Based locally to Eastleigh, with occasional regional travel for outreach and ambassadorial duties
* Ability to manage the day-to-day operations of a community-based facility and services
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
What will your role look like?
* Lead the Pavilion on The Park, overseeing its services and facilities
* Manage a small core management team with external finance support
* Work with trustees, employees, volunteers, donors, and customers to secure funding and develop services
* Oversee the operation of various services, including a community café, sensory facility, and a range of community projects
* Manage the finances, third-party suppliers, and partnerships
* Resourcing of grant funding and management of funded activities
* Maintain excellent relationships across a wide range of stakeholders, including community groups and local organisations
* Pitch in with the team as needed, maintaining a positive, “can-do” attitude
* Influence the direction of the Trust by offering new ideas and approaches for achieving its charitable objectives
