Job Description:
About the centre:
Outwood Alternative Provision Eston is a unique centre that caters to students from Outwood Academies in the Northern Region who require additional support due to behavioural, social, emotional, or mental health challenges. Our commitment to inclusion drives us to provide a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable students who exhibit challenging behaviours and are at risk of exclusion. With smaller class sizes, we prioritise personal development and student well-being without compromising academic excellence. Our goal is to ensure that all students can succeed and transition to their next stage with confidence, whether it's further education, employment, or training.
About the Role:
Outwood Grange Academies Trust seeks a professional, confident individual to join our Northern Finance Team as an Assistant Finance Manager. This role will be based at Outwood Alternative Provision Eston, requiring travel to other academies in the Northern Region. We are looking for someone who is highly organised, has an excellent aptitude for numbers, exceptional attention to detail, and is a confident communicator. The role requires working at pace and the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
The successful candidate will have accounting experience and be part qualified with either CIMA or ACCA. Training via an apprenticeship to L7 could be offered as part of the role, dependent on the level of qualification already obtained. Supporting the Finance Manager and wider academies in all aspects of finance, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team.
If required, a Trainee Assistant Finance Manager position can be offered to the right candidate, working at Grade 8 SCP 18-21 (£30,559 to £32,115). If you feel you are more suitable for the Trainee AFM position, please refer to this in your application.
Outwood Grange Academies Trust is on an exciting journey to offer the very best education we can. The role our support staff play is vital in this vision. Our support staff are a strong team who work together to provide the foundation of success and are seen as incredibly important to our goal of putting students first. Outwood Grange Academies Trust believes that all support staff within our Family of Schools are key in securing student success and ensuring professional development opportunities are part of our transformation model. Support to achieve CIMA L7 accreditation will be available to enable further career progression.
