About the role
Parcelforce are on the lookout for an experienced Regional Operations Leader. This will be to provide leadership to the operations management team in the Region. Creates a culture where Operations Managers and their teams are comfortable with total accountability for their performance and are trusted to deliver both performance and compliance, where all employees understand and perform their role to meet the requirements of the business and the customer in a way that promotes individual accountability and a drive for continuous improvement.
About You
* Lead on the provision of a safe working environment for everyone by deploying safety standards and displaying appropriate behaviours.
* Lead each depot management team in the successful collection and delivery of parcel volumes across a 7-day operation.
* Equalise performance across operational depots/hubs
* Embed, champion, pioneer good practice and continuous improvement
* Nurture and inspire a diverse talent of Operations Managers
* Give trust, inspire and be visible
* Performance management through coaching
* Prioritise your own and the team’s development in alignment with the business’ strategy
* Develop a positive team culture, challenging and changing behaviours in-line with Parcelforce’s vision and values
* Build and role-model positive industrial and employee relationships
* Manage costs, continuously improving productivity and challenging all waste and loss
* Grow revenues including promoting change and installing a growth mindset across their team
* Champion customer excellence, set the standards to eliminate quality loss and ensuring that every action is taken with the customer in mind
* Lead the commercial focus of each depot with responsibility for profit and loss.
* Maintain a productive relationship with each depot union representatives.
Working hours are Monday to Friday and a degree of flexibility for working times is required.
Assessment dates: 28th of April and the 2nd of May 2025
About You
A natural leader and experienced manager, you’ll enjoy nothing more than guiding teams through significant periods of change. You’ll understand how important it is to build strong relationships with your team, unions and key stakeholders – and you’ll show a genuine passion for what you do. Positive, proactive and personable, you won’t just ensure strong operational performance; you’ll never let us compromise on service. Ideally with a background in express parcels and some experience working in a unionised environment, you’ll probably already have your CPC qualification, or you’ll be interested in working towards one.
