About the role We require an outstanding Tutor to join our experienced science and chemistry team, to teach Chemistry on our science courses from January 2025. You will join a team of experienced chemists who work in close collaboration with the wider science team. Lessons are delivered in modern and well-resourced chemistry laboratories, supported by specialist chemistry technicians. We can offer you the support to develop your career and the opportunity to teach on a wide range of popular and successful chemistry courses. The majority of our courses are for students aged 16 -19 years old, with additional programmes for adults and apprentices. You will find our students enthusiastic and well behaved, keen to learn and progress in their studies. Course programmes include A level, Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma, Access to Higher Education, HND and apprenticeships. About the person You will be an enthusiastic and student-centred teacher with a passion for chemistry. This post is suitable for experienced teachers or those starting their career. Applicants must have a Chemistry or related degree qualification together with an appropriate teaching qualification. We would consider an applicant without a teaching qualification if they have suitable alternative experience either in industry or in higher education. For the right applicant we would be able to support you to gain a teaching qualification whilst gaining experience in the classroom.
