In this role, you will collaborate with the Head of Expenses, contributing to the monthly expense reporting and the annual budgeting process. Key Accountabilities Collaborate with internal teams to produce budget vs actual expense reports Conduct cost analysis and provide insights for decision-making Analyse variances between actual and budgeted figures Monitor and report on budget performance Assist in producing quarterly Executive expense packs Support the Accounts Payable Manager with month-end close Review outsourced teams’ coding and journals for accuracy and compliance Assist with bank and balance sheet reconciliations Complete month-end closure journals as needed Prepare monthly accrual postings Review fixed asset schedules and related journals Maintain the service company trial balance Perform ad-hoc tasks as required Qualifications AAT or Accounting and Finance Degree essential Minimum 1 years’ experience; within insurance is advantageous Work towards professional accounting qualifications with provided study support Knowledge of Prepayments, fixed assets and reconciliations necessity Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables, linking and filtering essential
