About the role The Department of Psychology is recruiting a Technician to provide technical support for teaching and research activities associated with psychology. In this role: You will be responsible for effectively maintaining the Department of Psychology laboratory facilities and supplies including maintaining equipment maintenance schedules. You will be responsible for the setting up and supporting of staff and students with psychology specific software & online platforms and managing and maintaining participant recruitment databases and mailing lists. You will also be required to support health and safety within the department along with data management, sustainability initiatives and general administrative support to the research hub support team. This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis. About you You will: Be able to work concurrently on projects, manage your time and workload effectively and be flexible in response to ad hoc emerging needs Have a good working knowledge of standard IT packages and databases and demonstrate the ability to effectively organise and maintain them. Have excellent written and oral communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
