Your duties will include, although not be limited to:
1. Leading and managing a team of Engineers and Technicians, including mentoring, coaching and training
2. Taking ownership of own projects across buildings schemes
3. Carrying out inspections, site surveys and assessments of structures and preparing reports
4. Overseeing the design of civil & structural schemes and checking designs prepared by others, including detailed calculations by hand and through computer models.
5. Advising junior staff on solutions and supporting other team members on developing solutions
6. Preparing and managing project programmes, workload and resources along with the directors
7. Liaising with clients to verify project scope and ensure deliverables
8. Preparation of tenders and fee proposals
9. Developing new and existing client relationships
10. Meeting with clients to promote the skills we provide
11. Development of new work opportunities
12. Development of the team, including interviewing and resourcing

You'll be employed on a permanent contract, working 40 hours per week. There is flexibility with start and finish times available however, the core working hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm.
What will I need to be considered for this vacancy?
1. Relevant Civil or Structural Engineering degree
2. Working towards Chartership or Chartered (ICE or IStructE)
3. 8+ years experience
4. Strong technical knowledge within assessment and design including inspections, calculations and analysis of existing structures and new-build design development
5. Considerable project management experience across buildings, bridges and temporary works, with drive and a proven record to meeting targets
6. Experience within the UK industry; preferably with Eurocode and Highway standards
7. Experience leading and developing a team of Engineers
8. Client focused approach with effective interpersonal and communication skills
9. Strong commercial awareness
10. Full UK driving licence and own transport
11. Eligible to live and work in the UK and high standard of written English
