What you'll be doing:
In this role, you will take a leadership position in driving sector-specific supply chain propositions, supporting the sales execs in pre-sales activities, and ensuring business support throughout the delivery process. You will also play a key part in shaping our GTM for Supply Chain business in the UKI, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy Development (Supporting Head of Solutions):
1. Service Focus: Identify and define the Supply Chain solutions and services your sector will take to market, ensuring alignment with existing capabilities within the Delivery teams.
2. Capability Needs Identification: Help shape future Supply Chain capability requirements for your sector, feeding these insights into service line growth strategies to drive business expansion.
2. Solution and Proposition Development:
3. Ideation and Solution Design: Participate in ideating and defining sector-specific Supply Chain solutions and offerings, generating market-facing collateral and competitive propositions.
4. Solution Tailoring: Collaborate with relevant Service Lines globally (Supply Chain consulting, SAP, Tangity, Data etc) to create client-focused solutions to meet the particular needs of your sector, ensuring a competitive market position.
3. Pre-sales Leadership:
5. Qualification Support: Assist in qualifying opportunities by focusing on alignment with the sector’s strategic direction and evaluating how engagements match current or planned capabilities.
6. Pre-sales Direction: Lead or participate in defining solutions for major opportunities, working with Service Line teams to drive competitive positioning and interact with senior clients to differentiate the company’s offerings.
7. Proposal Development: Contribute to developing proposals for significant opportunities and oversee the quality of all proposals across the sector to maintain high standards.
8. Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior Supply Chain (or related) representatives from clients, supporting the identification and pursuit of new opportunities.
4. Assurance & Issue Resolution:
9. Pre-sales Solution Assurance: Ensure that the solution aspects of proposals deliver against the clients’ needs and are aligned with broader business technical assurance functions, delegating responsibilities where appropriate.
10. In-Delivery Solution Assurance: Oversee the assurance of solutions during project delivery, ensuring alignment with the broader business and delegating tasks where necessary.
5. Building and maintaining client / prospect relationships:
11. Building and maintaining relationships with senior client / prospect contacts will be crucial both during RFP processes, and more generally in supporting new business opportunity identification and fostering long-term business growth.
12. It is expected that you will be seen by clients as an expert in your domain, and they will be willing to pay for your time on appropriate engagements.
13. To support this, you will be looking for ways to increase our profile in the market, contribute to / create industry-specific points-of-view which will be published by our marketing team and run campaigns, events, client dinners etc.
What experience you'll bring:
1. Strategic Leadership:
14. Proven experience in shaping and leading the development of Supply Chain solutions and services in alignment with business capabilities and market needs.
15. Ability to identify capability needs and influence growth strategies across multiple contributing service lines.
2. Pre-sales Expertise:
16. Strong leadership in pre-sales activities, including the qualification of opportunities, development of compelling proposals, and direct engagement with senior clients.
17. Ability to work cross-functionally with globally dispersed service lines and sales teams to deliver competitive and tailored solutions.
3. Delivery Assurance:
18. Demonstrated ability to oversee the assurance of proposals and delivery outputs, ensuring that solutions are aligned with client expectations and business assurance standards.
4. Client Engagement:
19. A client-centric mindset, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders within the technology and engineering domains.
20. A proven track record of supporting business growth through client interaction and opportunity identification.
