Salary: £35,235 - £39,513 Per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Corporate Business Intelligence Service

Lancashire's Business Intelligence team supports all services by providing analyses to develop an understanding of the people living in Lancashire and insights into the region's economic and cultural landscape. We develop business-critical reports, performance analyses, and support statutory and regulatory requirements.

Senior Business Intelligence Officer
This role is key to linking and improving the information provided by Business Intelligence with that used and needed by operational teams and senior managers primarily in Education and Children's services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate the maintenance and development of the team's products, disseminating data and intelligence collected, including spreadsheets, databases, and system reports.
* Process and upload information for Education, Children's and other Services, providing analysis and summary oversight.
* Analyze Education, Children's and other datasets, producing reports and developing statistical tools within the analysis.
* Develop new data requirements and reporting arrangements to facilitate improved performance monitoring, management, and evaluation (including the use of data dashboards and scorecards).
* Query data; maintain and develop reports and products; implement data quality assurances and procedures.
* Support colleagues internally and externally to develop intelligence from analyses produced, providing ad-hoc analysis and reports in response to data requests.
* Produce communications for various audiences on the outputs of the team and other services; assist with the preparation and development of inspection materials.
* Develop additional datasets with a range of LCC services as required.
Key Requirements:
* Highly competent in understanding, interpreting, and presenting information quickly and accurately.
* Highly numerate, with strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability.
* Knowledge of performance management and evaluation tools, techniques, and methodologies.
* Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and presenting complex datasets in both prescribed and bespoke formats (including dashboards and scorecards).
* Ability to establish and understand the links between different sources of data intelligence and their impact on performance.
* Production of regular analysis and performance reports against performance frameworks and their KPIs to facilitate strategic and operational decision-making.
* Collaborate with technical and operational teams to incorporate information into several datasets and develop reports to monitor performance.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work within multi-discipline organizations.
The usual office base for this role is County Hall, Preston, although it is currently a hybrid role, including an amount of homeworking.
