We are looking for two skilled Technical Support Engineers focusing on Applications Delivery, responsible for ensuring smooth deployment, configuration, and support of various business-critical applications.
The Applications delivery area comprises of people-focussed, technical specialists whose passion is maintaining robust, highly available business systems which allow policing information to be available when and where required.
The successful candidate would benefit from prior experience of supporting multiple applications in an on-premise and cloud environment, also having the understanding of related supporting infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
* Administration, maintenance, and development of IT devices, infrastructure, and applications.
* Provide technical support for application installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
* Assist in the delivery and deployment of software applications across the organisation.
* Developing the technical support provision and the IT infrastructure required to deliver the IT services and products to meet the needs of the organisation.
* You will undertake developmental or remedial actions as directed in response to review or business feedback.
* Provision, development, and solution implementation.
* Monitor, maintain, and improve application performance and availability.
* Diagnose and resolve issues related to application performance, integration, and compatibility.
* Offer guidance and support to end-users and internal teams regarding application use.
Skills & Experience:
* Strong understanding of application delivery and support processes.
* Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues.
* Knowledge of software deployment, patching, and configuration.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and consult with cross-functional teams.
Important information:
A full UK driving licence is required for this role as there will be occasions when you are required to travel around the force area.
To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 5-year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 5 years.

The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work from home whilst also at a secondary work location, which will be a police premises.
