What You’ll Do: (job responsibilities)
* Supporting existing artists/writers with writing trips
* Working with the A&R team in building and establishing a relationship with the labels
* Support in song-plugging
* Proactively connecting with songwriters and managers, keeping in touch and building relationships.
* Attending UK A&R meetings to bridge the gap between SMP UK and international offices
* Keeping the A&R department aware of SMP camps
* Support international growth of projects through international calls, meetings and sessions
* Attend meetings, gigs, showcases, conferences and other events to represent the company

Essential requirements
* Client oriented (writers, management, labels)
* Thorough knowledge of all areas of the music business
* A genuine interest in the music publishing industry and music generally across all genres
* Supports, and collaborates with team to create an effective and supportive working environment
* Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and in a professional but friendly manner with a wide range of internal and external colleagues and customers on a global basis
* Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential information
* Open-minded and motivated to recommend changes in processes and procedures where this would result in a more effective approach
* Being flexible, effective and having an enthusiastic approach to developing the role
