Job Description
Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer from a building services background looking to advance your career and manage projects within a variety of sectors? This company has been specialising in building consulting for the past 20 years, with a focus on delivering Net Zero Carbon (NZC) design. Advising on embodied and operational carbon, this company assists clients with decarbonisation strategies to achieve NZC through innovative products and installations. In this role, you will be designing mechanical systems for commercial, educational, residential, and aviation buildings. You will be responsible for the design and engineering of HVAC systems, specialised systems, and heat plants using Revit, AutoCAD, and Hevacomp.
You will have the opportunity to work within a team both in the office and on site visits to ensure systems are installed correctly and advising clients. The Role:
1. Collaborate with the design team to produce concepts and technically compliant, detailed designs.
2. Undertake site surveys, inspections, provide written reports and reviews.
3. Produce detailed designs and specifications for engineering systems.
4. Ensure all designs are compliant and adhere to current government health and safety legislation.
5. Work with new technologies (Revit, TAS, MagiCAD).
6. Development and payment of professional membership (MCIBSE, MIMechE, etc.).
The Person:
1. Design software platforms (AutoCAD/Revit), Microsoft Office.
2. HNC/Degree Qualified.
