We are currently seeking a class teacher to work with a small class of SEND students supported by a team of Teaching Assistants. This is an opportunity to be part of a thriving specialist provision that fosters continuous professional development, challenge, and support, as well as being part of a growing Multi Academy Trust with a proven track record in special needs provisions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering engaging and motivating lessons with a personalised programme of learning for students.
* Contributing to the improvement of pupils' participation in learning and Academy life.
* Ensuring the creation of a calm and productive working environment.
We welcome applications from ECTs and experienced teachers, and as part of a larger Trust, we are able to offer support to both, as well as a comprehensive Induction Programme.
We are looking for a committed candidate with these qualifications:
* A desire to work with some of the most complex young people in our community.
* Demonstrable experience in securing successful academic outcomes.
* Demonstrable experience in managing challenging behaviour.
* Sufficient command of spoken English as defined under the Code of Practice on English language requirements for public sector workers.
