We are looking for an inspirational SENCO for a holistic school across two sites educating up to 50 learners from the age of 11 - 16 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, including ADHD and autism.
You need to be a multi-talented professional, with strong leadership and communication skills; endless enthusiasm, resilience and vision, and a commitment to both the education and the achievement of each young person.
Requirements:
· A SENCO Qualification or be close to completing
· A QTS status
· Make a valuable contribution to the offering that young people receive at the school, as part of the provision of high-quality teaching and learning.
· Some experience of working effectively with local authorities.
· A passion for ensuring all young people succeed.
· Able to work effectively within a supportive, committed, and successful staff team.
· Have high aspirations for yourself and others, and a commitment to further development.
· Have a robust understanding of SEND Code of practice
· An understanding of SEMH education and how to support the additional needs associated with SEMH pupils.
