Why be a UK & EU Sales Director at Biossance?
The Director, Sales UK and EU is responsible for planning and executing sales strategies and developing and maintaining strong working relationships with retail partners which result in increased sales and greater market position. This is a key role in the organisation setting the strategy and vision for the UK and EU driving all parts of the business to deliver on the total business goals.
* Lift and elevate Biossance to be a leading skincare brand in the industry in the UK and EU regions, by building the largest clean beauty community of engaged, excited and diverse clients that lead our movement and lift each other up.
* Help shape the brand DNA and regional Sales, Marketing and Education strategies - under the mission of building a clean, sustainable consumer brand that change industries for the better.
* Sales Revenue and Retail Targets- Oversee and be accountable for sales retail and revenue targets across UK and EU. Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth target. Deliver to annual revenue budgets identifying opportunities. Weekly and Monthly sales reporting.
* Marketing- Partner with key internal and external global stakeholders to develop, strategize and deliver on Marketing & Digital strategies and support the achievement of the organization’s growth goals. Oversee execution and tracking of marketing plans across PR, influencers, paid advertising, sampling and customer experience.
* Trade Marketing- work with local retailers on trade marketing opportunities and exposure in B&M and online to continue to increase brand exposure supporting key launches, core and retailer animations driving brand awareness and recruitment. Manage retailer co-op budgets ensuring the correct investment by channel and evaluating ROI.
* Education – Work with Field Education team on building education strategies to make Biossance the most loved skincare brand amongst Beauty Advisors. Manage field team ensuring high in-store productivity and superior execution of education initiatives across the region.
* Distribution- Manage current retailer relationships and own regional distribution strategy. Build deep relationship with current retailers and identify new distribution opportunities to further brand momentum in existing and new markets.
* Digital- Lead digital with innovation, constant testing, learning and growing. Work with retailers on maximizing the brand across their ecomm and social channels.
* Opex- Manage and report on operating expenses, delivering to budget while also identifying revenue driving ideas.
* Operations – working closely to on planning and inventory to be sure in-stocks are strong in this region. Manage monthly order process with retailers and internal operations team for both basic replenishment and newness orders. Manage brand inventory with retailers to reduce OOS and overstocks, including markdowns. Oversee order processing.
* Team Development – Lead a team of 4 to share the Biossance vision and achieve brand objectives. Grow and develop team across various functions and roles as required.
* Countries of responsibility- UK, Germany, Portugal
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
* 12+ year track record of brand management, growing sales revenue/profitability, developing and executing marketing campaign and managing highly productive sales teams within the beauty/cosmetic industry within UK/EU.
* Proven track record of strategic business planning & execution, establishing long-term and productive retail partnerships in a highly competitive environment
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal teams to develop winning go-to-market strategies and plans, create a competitive advantage, and grow market share
* Strong leadership that can inspire and motivate teams to achieve their goals and objectives.
* Results driven with a deep understanding of sales processes and strategies in beauty.
* Strategic thinker who can think strategically and develop long-term sales plans that align to company objectives. This includes identifying new market opportunities and potential areas of growth.
* Industry knowledge with a passion for the beauty industry
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to analyze complex numbers and draw conclusions
* Ability to quickly and efficiently resolve problems/issues via data-based approach
