Quality Assurance Manager (Bakery)
Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager (Bakery) is responsible for leading day-to-day QA activities, providing guidance to the Bakery workforce, and ensuring compliance with quality management systems, customer specifications, legal requirements, and food safety standards.
Main Responsibilities
* Conduct quality inspections on finished products, trial samples, reference samples, and end-of-life buns
* Analyze data and interpret bun scoring sessions, communicating results to adjust production processes
* Check products against customer specifications and highlight quality issues to production personnel
* Quarantine non-conforming products, investigate causes, and communicate improvements to the Quality Manager and Manufacturing Team
* Assist with bun sample selections, generate reports, and participate in audits and calibration exercises
Key Requirements
* Educated to GCSE Level and hold a food/QA-related qualification
* HACCP Training and Internal Auditor Training
* Experience in a FMCG environment, computer skills, problem-solving ability, and minimum 2 years' experience in a QA role
* Excellent communication, attention to detail, organizational, methodical approach, and ability to manage change under pressure
