Band 2 Administration Assistant - Permanent.
28hr 45min hours per week.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team at the West Cumberland Hospital. The successful candidate will provide a fully comprehensive administrative service to the Occupational Therapists based within the hospital.
The role of the department is to provide an integrated Occupational Therapy service for adults in the West Cumberland Hospital meeting their health and social needs, facilitating their optimal independence and ensuring their safe, rapid and effective discharge from hospital to their homes or appropriate community settings.
Main duties of the job
To assist in ensuring the delivery of a high quality service by maintaining effective communication links with patients, carers and all associated relevant practitioners.
To support the Occupational Therapy team with all aspects of administration, including taking accurate minutes of meetings, utilising IT systems to upload and retrieve activity data for the service, support with the IT management of waiting lists and daily operational support to complement the smooth running of the service.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 GCSE's of level 4 and above/grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
* NVQ 2 or 3 in Business Admin or relevant experience
* OCR/RSA level 2 in Word Processing or equivalent.
* ECDL or equivalent.
Experience
* Experience of office/clerical procedures and practices, filing systems, use of dedicated computer systems and databases.
* Experience working in an administration role.
* Experience working within a health service.
* Experience of computer systems to run basic activity reports.
Knowledge
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel databases.
* General office skills including file management systems and minute taking.
* Knowledge of a range of trust policies and national guidelines including confidentiality policies.
Skills and aptitudes
* Good communication skills, written and verbal.
* Good interpersonal skills including telephone manner.
* Good organisation skills.
* Ability to prioritise workload.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to interpret and understand health related terms.
