P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Survey Technician to join their team based in Aberdeen on a full-time, permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
* Preparing and testing of equipment prior to rental and post hire.
* Function testing, software / firmware updates, cable integrity.
* Ensuring completeness of equipment against packing lists.
* Checking, inspecting, and documenting equipment returned from hire.
* Visual inspection, function testing and writing technical reports.
* Identification of in-house or external repair tasks.
* Preparing all assets to ensure they are ready for delivery to clients at short notice.
* General warehouse and delivery duties.
* Checking, inspecting and documenting equipment on mobilisation.
* Setup, interface, function test on mobilisation.
* Troubleshoot to successful conclusion.
* Assist offshore survey team as required.
* Demobilise, check, inspect and document equipment prior to dispatch back to base.
* Attend Offshore training and undergo an Offshore medical.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified to degree level in relevant Engineering or have 3-5 years equivalent experience.
* Working knowledge of electronic engineering principles, techniques, and practices.
* Experience in working with survey equipment.
* Experience of asset tracking databases.
* Knowledge of interfacing survey sensors with acquisition software.
* Ability to work unsupervised on basic offshore projects.
* Ability to operate survey equipment as part of an offshore survey team.
* High standard of QHSE in the workplace.

* Ability to work independently and confidently when representing the company at client premises.
* Ability to follow procedures and processes correctly.
* Have a flexible and proactive approach to working and learning.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
* Ability to work remotely with relevant IT access.
* Ability to work efficiently and safely under pressure and to deadline.
* Passionate to develop and progress in an industry recognised technology company.
* The successful candidate must hold a Full UK Driving licence.
