Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month, fixed term, Band 6 Dietitian with an interest in surgery and nutrition support at the Royal Bournemouth site of University Hospitals Dorset, with fortnightly outpatient clinic at Christchurch hospital. Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital Interview Date: TBC Main duties of the job The role is to provide specialist dietetic support to adult surgical patients throughout their treatment and recovery. The job will include close working with the wider multi-disciplinary team looking after this group of patients and attending consultant lead multidisciplinary clinics for surgical frailty patients. There is also the opportunity to provide support and cover to the Nutrition Support Team and Nutrition MDT, which involves the management of patients with complex nutritional needs and can include parenteral nutrition management and patients with eating disorders. You don't have to have direct experience of this to apply as we have a fantastic team who can provide training and support gaining skills in this area. The successful applicant will receive clinical support and opportunities to develop their clinical expertise and knowledge regarding all aspects of the nutrition service settings through formal and informal training.
