As our new Group Supply Chain Excellence Lead, you’ll be responsible for the management of our Group Supply Chain Excellence team.
You’ll lead on Supply chain improvement activities to ensure alignment of production, sales, and inventory plans, as well as key 3rd Party toll manufacturers supply chains incorporating best practice S&OP processes to maximize customer satisfaction alongside working capital (inventory) efficiencies.
You will institutionalize and execute a global S&OP collaboration platform as a cross-functional decision-making process and reconciliation of different functional inputs into an agreed action plan that balance the business sales demand with site production and logistics capabilities whilst managing inventory to agreed business targets.
Some of your key responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Manufacturing, Sales, Logistics, Procurement & Finance to ensure that the appropriate data is available and accurate to be reviewed at the S&OP cycle meetings.
* Identify issues, lead the solutions development by connecting to other cross-functional teams (within both Supply Chain & Commercial).
* Manage Group Supply Chain annual budget review process incorporating the 10-year demand profile to create workable global Supply plan scenarios balanced against site and plant capacities as well as costing considerations.
* Manage complete inventory globally including intercompany stock movements in-line with working capital efficiency alongside minimising out of stock risk.
* Reporting of monthly key metrics for the business covering S&OP process adherence, sales and manufacturing performance, reconciliation of stock across all the supply network and consignment locations.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
* We would love you to have an Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Science degree or extensive experience.
* Knowledge of working in a chemical manufacturing environment with experience of lean manufacturing supply chains.
* Previous experience of Value Stream Mapping business processes and waste elimination
* Knowledge and experience of implementation of high performing ERP systems.
* This is a must; you have considerable experience of working across a multi-site global S&OP and lean supply chain management function.
