In all that we do, we challenge the status quo - to go beyond our client’s expectations.We are looking for an Apprentice Surveyor (Commercial Property Pathway) to join our Valuation team in our Bristol office which is located on within the city centre, close to the city’s main railway station and shopping area. Purpose of Role: As an Apprentice Surveyor you will be working within our growing Valuation team. You will play an important role in the conducting of valuation instructions, working directly with the lead surveyor on a wide variety of large and small properties throughout the south west region. Vacancy Description: As an Apprentice surveyor you be directly involved with valuation instructions, assisting surveyors in the undertaking of valuation reports from start to finish. Your duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
1. Shadowing our chartered and graduate Surveyors.
2. Assisting on site inspections including photography and measuring buildings.
3. Setting up new instructions.
4. Supporting on a variety of valuation work, including collecting and interrogation of evidence to support valuations, planning information etc.
5. Where experience allows, assisting in valuation calculations.
6. General assistance in department and office administration.
7. Attending training and continuous professional development (CPD) events where required to support your learning.
8. Networking where appropriate.

Off-the-job Training and Assessment: Off-the-job training will be provided by the University College of Estate Management (UCEM). You will achieve a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited BSc (Hons) Real Estate Management. Rather than attending formal lectures or classes, you’ll study using UCEM’s state-of-the-art online learning environment and digital library, supported with guidance from highly experienced tutors.
Upon completion of the BSc (Hons) Real Estate Management and the structured workplace learning you will undertake the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence leading to registration with the RICS as a Chartered Surveyor (Commercial Property Practice). Qualifications on Entry: For standard entry applicants, must have obtained 96 UCAS tariff points ( Tariff) or UCAS tariff points ( Tariff) or have an equivalent level of attainment through recognised qualifications not included in the UCAS TariffOR,Have completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Surveying or an Advanced Apprenticeship in Construction Technical through which a Construction and Built Environment Diploma with a minimum DD profile was obtained or through which a Construction and Built Environment Extended Diploma with a minimum MMM profile was obtained, or an equivalent qualificationOR,Have a current RICS Associate qualification (AssocRICS)AND,Have GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics (Grade 4 for applicants holding newly reformed GCSEs in England) or an equivalent Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics as defined by the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) in England. A driver's license is essential.
