Our client are a small Engineering Consultancy based in Reading. The companies approach is to apply Engineering to Service Support for IT systems and infrastructure. \n\nTaking a Systems Engineering approach to Service Support over the full lifetime of a system.
The primary focus is to influence the design of a system, through consideration of individual elements all working collaboratively, making it as supportable as possible to reduce the whole life cost across the predicted lifespan.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSupporting the design and delivery of IT system service solutions\nWorking under the guidance of Project Leads to develop skills and knowledge in Systems Engineering and Service Support\nUtilising creativity and initiative towards problem solving\nEngaging in client-facing activities at customer sites across the UK\nApplying predictive systems modelling and failure analysis during design phases\nConducting continuous monitoring and trending analysis during service operation\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nSystems Engineering qualification\nQualified to degree level (2:1 or above)\nExcellent interpersonal skills\nExperience with MS Office\nAble to achieve SC level UK security clearance\nUK Driving Licence\n\nDesirable Skills:\n\nMaths A-Level or equivalent\nUnderstanding of MS Excel analysis techniques
