Do you have experience of using secondary or specialist mental health services and an interest in helping to support and develop future services?
The Bradford and Airedale Early Intervention in Psychosis Service has two opportunities for individuals with lived experience of mental health difficulties to work with the team as Development and Support Workers.
As an integral member of one of our care teams, you will inspire others, challenge stigma and discrimination, and promote recovery. You will positively share and draw upon aspects of your own lived experience in both direct and indirect work with service users.
The role involves close work with the service’s Clinical Lead. The successful candidate will also play a pivotal role in service development and innovation through engaging service users in the identification and co-design of projects.
Skills
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work flexibly and effectively as part of a team. In addition to BDCFT’s package, we offer:

Additional responsibilities include developing awareness of carers’ perspectives, ensuring their views are represented in service planning and delivery, and engaging with and supporting individual service users and carers in accordance with care plans, in partnership with multi-disciplinary colleagues and agencies.
