We are currently looking for an Assistant Sameday controller for a large and busy Airfreight company based near Heathrow. The role would be perfect for someone with Sameday delivery/Courier management experience.
Role Summary: Develop and build a new same day service utilising Third Party and company resources. To manage and control our Clients Sameday requirements via our network and various sub-contractors. Ensure service meets clients’ expectations and agreed KPIs. Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve operating quality and efficiency of the depot. Supervise other members of staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities

1. Being a point of contact for Sameday clients.
2. Efficiently utilising the available resources to deliver excellent service to customers.
3. Work in conjunction with the Operations Manager to ensure the company runs as efficiently as possible.
4. Ensuring accurate storage and prompt retrieval of information.
5. Ensuring individuals, teams, colleagues, Managers and clients are advised of appropriate information.
6. Maintain close relationships with Sameday clients.
7. Obtaining and processing information to enable appropriate decisions to be made.
8. Assisting when required in the induction and appropriate training of individuals.
Experience & Qualifications
1. Experience in Sameday or On-Demand courier.
2. Experience with client and Driver support.
3. In depth knowledge of courier requirements.
4. Knowledge of Aviation Security.
5. Ability to work under pressure in busy fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent communication skills at all levels.
7. Strong decision-making skills.
8. Highly organised and excellent time management skills.
9. Ability to proactively develop clients through dynamic pricing as required.
10. Team player as well as able to work independently.
11. Hard-working, flexible.
12. Acts professionally and confidently at all times.
