Finance Assistant
Hours of Post: 28 hours per week
Working Pattern: 8:30am to 4:00pm (Monday to Thursday)
(30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day)
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time only
Salary Grade: NJC Scale 3, points 5 to 6 - £24,790 to £25,183 FTE
(salary will be pro rata to part time, term time hours)
Start Date of Post: Required from 28th April 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner to the post of Finance Assistant.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated and committed professional who under the line management of the Business Manager, will be responsible for assisting in maintaining efficient and effective financial procedures and systems across the school.
The Finance Assistant will be expected to administer the collection of monies for trips, shop purchases, events, music lessons etc., to process invoices for payment, assist in processing BACS and cheque payments to suppliers, process credit card orders, process orders for staff, record deliveries of goods received into school, assist in publishing trips, visits, and resources on the payment gateway, assist in the maintenance of the school’s inventory record, and carry out other finance and administration duties as assigned by the Business Manager.
